DeSantis Visits Camellia Street Grill

Posted

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently visited the Camellia Street Grill as part of his “Diners, Drive-ins and DeSantis” social media campaign on Tuesday, March 24th.

As part of an ongoing series, DeSantis is visiting locally owned establishments throughout Florida. He previously stopped at Culhane’s Irish Pub in Jacksonville and Buccan Sandwich Shop in West Palm Beach.

Camellia Street Grill owner Terri Rementeria said the meeting was wonderful and a treat. Accompanying DeSantis was FWC Executive Director Colonel Roger Young. They discussed the environment, the importance of local restaurants, and delicious food.

Some Everglades City residents were indifferent to the visit since he vetoed $1.6 million dollars for the Bank Restoration Project in 2025.

He has also allegedly stated he may approve the funding, according to his Policy and Budget team. However, any exact commitment remains unconfirmed.
